One of my students is absolutely in love with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Absolutely in love! Almost every time I've seen him, he's asked me about Arnold. Earlier this week, he stopped me, all serious, and said, "Wendy, few weeks ago, I send email to Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he not write me back. What can I do?" I was just like, ".......uhhhh, he's probably very busy." The student replied, "I know I know. Many people love Arnold." Then he said he wishes Arnold could be the Governor of California forever. And yesterday in his homework assignment, he wrote, "I love Arnold Schwarzenegger, even though he is the Mr. Governor of California." Too precious.

Today while taking the school van home from the QingHua campus to the ErWai campus (where I live), I started speaking Chinese to one of the staff people. Then, as I was struggling to make myself coherent, all the students in the backseat decided to close their windows so that they could hear me speak. Ack! Stage fright for realz.

And it's settled. I'm going on a tour to Inner Mongolia for the National Holiday during the first week of October. Living in a yurt, riding some camels, definitely looking forward to it.
